Coming into high school my freshman year I was enrolled in the agricultural pathway because I thought that I wanted to become a veterinarian. I changed my pathway my sophomore year because I realized I didn't really want to be a vet, I want to be a doctor. Instead I changed my pathway to Spanish to improve my speaking, writing and reading skills because knowing Spanish is vital to being in the medical field. Since I changed my pathway too late in the year, I wasn't able to switch to the medical pathway, because I would not be able to take all three required classes. Although I am not in the medical pathway, this year I am taking physiology and the certified nursing assistant class after school to gain hands-on experience with patient care and the medical field. After high school, I plan on going to a four-year university, then to medical school for four years, and then completing my internship and residency in a hospital.
